“Vivian Nicholson became well known within Great Britain in 1961 when she received £152,319 (equivalent to more than £3 million in 2009 adjusted for inflation) in a football pools win and announced to the press that she was going to “spend, spend, spend”. Nicholson’s life was the subject of tabloid news stories for some years. After her husband Keith died in a car crash in 1965 her fortune rapidly dwindled to nothing. Today she’s 75 years old.”

One of my favorite The Smiths Collector I own: a German L.P import version of the Single: “Ask” with:”Cemetry Gates” and “Golden lights” on the B side (1986). The vinyl is transparent !
I love the design of the cover, the layout, the range of colors and the contrast by opposition between the yellowish cover and the pure cyan sleeve on the record. The photos (front & back) are representing: Colin Campbell in the movie:”Leather boys” by Sidney J Furie-1963
